Digital Nepal Conclave
The Digital Nepal Conclave is an initiative aimed at uniting various individuals and stakeholders to support the vision of a Digital Nepal. It began in 2022 following the completion of the Digital Pradesh Samvad, a policy discussion program held in each province of Nepal with local stakeholders. The Conclave spans two days and welcomes a diverse range of participants, including ministers, IT professionals, entrepreneurs, and academics. Discussions cover topics such as FinTech, Digital Health, Agriculture, Education, and Cyber Security, focusing on digital transformation.
Digital Nepal Conclave 2024
Digital Nepal Conclave 2024 was held on 7 June 2024 at Kathmandu Marriott Hotel. Organized by ICT Foundation Nepal to support initiatives envisioned by the Digital Nepal Framework 2019, the primary focus of the event was on “Harmonizing Digitalization and Development”. The event focused on integrating digital technologies and approaches into development initiatives in a way that supports sustainable and inclusive development goals. The conference featured seven thematic sessions, over 50 resource persons and speakers, three international keynote speakers, and was attended by more than 600 participants. These included representatives from government agencies, corporations, startups, entrepreneurs, international guests, experts, and media representatives. The one-day event focused on showcasing and discussing Nepal’s digital capabilities.

Digital Nepal Conclave 2023
Huawei MNC Digital Nepal Conclave 2023 was organized to support initiatives envisioned by the Digital Nepal Framework 2019. The primary focus of the conference in 2023 was on underlining the Digital Capabilities for Digital Nepal. The event featured high-level deliberations along with policy-level discussions among senior government officials, sectoral experts, and relevant stakeholders from within and outside the country.The event brought together more than 800 participants representing government agencies, corporate sectors, Startup founders, entrepreneurs, guests from different countries, sectoral experts, thematic domain champions, and media, among other stakeholders.

The two-day Huawei MNC Digital Nepal Conclave 2023, organized by ICT Foundation Nepal was held at The Soaltee Kathmandu with enthusiastic participation. Themed ‘Fostering Digitally Saksham Nepal,’ the event featured over 15 sessions across six different themes. Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Communication and Information Technology Minister Rekha Sharma, and Finance Minister Prakash Sharan Mahat were among the notable guests.
The conclave aimed to assess digital competence for national transformation, covering various dimensions crucial for policy-making. Prime Minister Dahal highlighted the need for infrastructure and security to enhance digital capabilities. Communication Minister Sharma emphasized the expanding role of information technology beyond entertainment, contributing to production and the digital economy.
Finance Minister Mahat acknowledged the potential contribution of information technology to Nepal’s economy and expressed the government’s commitment to ICT sector development. Huawei’s CEO, Jim Wang, affirmed Huawei’s dedication to supporting the goals of digital Nepal and sustainable development.
Key discussions during the conclave included digital infrastructure, governance, innovation, entrepreneurship, economy, fintech, data governance, security, leadership, and overall digital capability. Panel discussions explored topics such as supporting infrastructure, digital identity, municipal and state efforts in digital governance, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
The conclave also witnessed the release of the second edition of ‘Digital Pradesh Paridrishya,’ a comprehensive book on the digital situation and capabilities of all seven provinces. In addition, Huawei organized the Mobile Nepal Congress (MNC) as a mini-Mobile World Congress, providing insights into new technologies, including 5G, AI, and Green Data Centre.
The event was a collaboration with various partners, with Huawei as the top sponsor and Nepal Telecom as the connectivity partner. IME Pay, Sasto Ticket, Broadway Infosys, and Check Point were among the supporting partners. Government entities like the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Department of Information Technology, Nepal Telecommunications Authority, and Nepal Rastra Bank also supported the conclave. The conclave successfully emphasized Nepal’s potential for digital transformation and highlighted the importance of policy formulation and implementation in this regard.
